— Assume Equipment (Su): Endel can designate a number of pieces of his worn equipment (including armor and weapons) equal to his psion uncarnate level to become incorporeal when he uses his shed body ability. This has no effect on the equipment’s function, but now when Endel is incorporeal, he can enter or pass through solid objects while wearing nothing other than the designated equipment. Once designated, the equipment automatically changes to incorporeal when he sheds his body, and it returns to corporeality when he does. Endel can change his designations as he desires.
— Assume Likeness (Su): While incorporeal, Endel can assume the likeness of any Small, Medium, or Large creature as a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. His abilities do not change, but he appears to be the creature that he assumes the likeness of, allowing him the ability to effectively disguise himself and bluff those who might wonder at his true nature. Each physical interaction with a creature requires a successful Bluff check (opposed by the creature’s Sense Motive check) to convince the creature of Endel’s new appearance. Endel must not do anything to give away his true (incorporeal) nature in order for the bluff to be successful; for instance, if he accepts an item from another creature only to have it fall through his immaterial hands, the Bluff check automatically fails. However, a Bluff check would be allowed if Endel uses his telekinetic force ability to hold the received item. When using his assume likeness ability, Endel has an additional +10 circumstance bonus on Disguise checks. If he can read an opponent’s mind, he gets a further +4 circumstance bonus on Bluff and Disguise checks.
— Collective (Su): The part of Endel’s mind known as the Collective allows him to spend one power point per day to gain a +2 bonus to any Knowledge or Psicraft check.
— Greater Psionic Endowment: By expending his psionic focus, Endel can add +2 to the save DC of any power he manifests.
— Incorporeal Touch (Su): Endel can make up to three melee touch attacks per day that each deal 2d6 points of damage if they hit. His strength modifier is not applied to this attack, but it is effective against incorporeal creatures (and against corporeal creatures while the psion uncarnate is incorporeal) The character’s hand and arm seem to become slightly translucent when he makes these attacks. A miss still counts as a use of the ability. While uncarnate, Endel can make melee touch attacks at will that do not count against his uses of this ability.
— Oracle (Su): The part of Endel’s mind known as the Oracle grants a +2 bonus on any one initiative check, attack roll or saving throw. This bonus can only be applied once per day.
— Multitask (Su): Twice per day, Endel can spend 1 power point to gain a swift action that he can take to perform a purely mental action. If using this ability to manifest a power, he cannot manifest another power later that turn.
— Psionics: 1st – control object, far hand, force screen, inertial armor; 2nd – control air, energy missile, energy push; 3rd – body adjustment, dispel psionics, energy cone, telekinetic force, telekinetic thrust, ubiquitous vision; 4th – control body, psionic dimension door, inertial barrier, telekinetic maneuver. 51 power points (assuming 18 already spent on defenses).
— Shed Body (Su): Endel can become incorporeal (or “uncarnate”) once per day as a standard action. He can remain uncarnate for up to 1 minute. During this time, his body fades into an immaterial form that retains his basic likeness. While uncarnate, he gains the incorporeal subtype. He gains a fly speed equal to his land speed (perfect maneuverability). His material armor remains in place and continues to provide its armor bonus to AC (see Uncarnate Armor, above). His material weapons also remain corporeal. Losing his physical form allows the character to more easily access his mental abilities, and he gains a +1 bonus on all save DCs for powers he manifests while uncarnate.
— Threefold Mind (Su): The threefold synthesis of mind, controlled by the overmind, grants Endel a +2 bonus on Will saves.
— Uncarnate Armor (Su): When Endel is wearing armor or using inertial armor or a similar effect, he gets his armor bonus to AC even when he becomes incorporeal (see Shed Body, below). However, unlike other incorporeal creatures, a psion uncarnate does not gain a deflection bonus to Armor Class from his Charisma modifier. This ability works even if the armor being worn becomes incorporeal (such as through the use of the assume equipment ability described below).
The mysterious individual named Endel Sorra was a member of the adventuring group known as the Savage Company. He was apparently a psion of some kind, as he never handled anything with his hands, using only his considerable mental powers to manipulate physical objects. As one might expect from a psion, he was a thoughtful and introspective person, reacting only in a logical and reasoned manner to even the most dangerous threats. He seemed to regard the world as an interesting stage play or game, and himself as a detached observer watching events unfold around him. Some strange stories were told around Stormreach about him, including the time a group of muggers attempted to attack and rob him, only to find that their weapons passed right through his body as though he were made of smoke.
After Berenessa stole the Dreamstone back from Jackson Savage, it was revealed that Endel was a figment of his imagination, and vanished back into the ether from which he was made. With Jackson’s death, it seems the city forgot he ever existed.
